Family Medicine of Gwinnett

Thank you for joining us as a new patient at Family Medicine of Gwinnett.  Here are a few reminders to better serve you further as our relationship builds.

1. Communication:  To better manage our high call volumes, we only accept voicemail requests.  We will check voicemails throughout the day and call you ASAP. Call 770-638-1401.
2. Lab Results/Tests: It is reasonable to expect to hear your results within a week’s time.  Some lab results are given in order of priority based on the level of urgency for a follow up.  Regardless, via office visit, email and/or a phone call from our staff, you will receive lab results.
3. Prescriptions:  In most cases, contact your Pharmacy first for RX refills so they will fax Dr. Kim the exact medicine in question.  It is not necessary to call us for confirmation of a fax. Controlled substance prescriptions require stricter DEA monitoring with 1 month to 3 month follow-up, documented office visits.  Those prescriptions must be picked up at our office with the provider’s signature, RX approved paper, and a blue ink DEA stamp.  Please allow a 24-hour turn around time for ALL med. refills.
